A study abroad scholarship program for Asian high-schoolers interested in building their global competence

Eligibility

For the Asia Kakehashi program, AFS is accepting applications from students in 20 Asian countries and regions.

Applicants interested in the Asia Kakehashi program must meet the following criteria:

  • Between 15 and 18 years of age
  • Highly motivated, high-achieving students
  • Learn some Japanese before the program
  • Able and willing to travel abroad unaccompanied
